THE AUSTRALIAN 'RED MEAT' INDUSTRY MUST DISARM A 'TICKING TIMEBOMB' - WE CAN DO IT, IF WE ACT NOW!!!
AUSTRALIA’S DIGITAL LIVESTOCK TRACKING TRANSITION – WHY?
One of the most important and critical developments in the Australian Livestock Industry is the transition from ‘paper based’ NVD’s or waybills to digital eNVD’s for vendor consignments.
Digital Tracking of livestock including Sheep Cattle and Goats from farm and right through the value chain gives stakeholders including livestock producers, transport operators, saleyard owners and agents, abattoirs and feedlots instant access to consignment data of each load at any point at any time.
As an industry it is essential that we use this technology, which is now available as the alternative to inaction could be devastating for the following reasons:
- Biosecurity
- Theft
- Consignment Value
- Record Keeping of Data
- Animal Welfare and OH&S

LTRS - "The Gatekeeper"
All commercial facilities that accept large numbers of animals be it saleyard feedlot or abattoir need to know that the consignment is 100% correct.
Mistakes using paper NVD’s are common either wrong carrier, wrong breed, wrong numbers, RFID tags missing or not working or simply wrong consignment are all too frequent, time then has to be spent sorting our mistakes when everyone is busy.

With LTRS installed at your loading ramp, everything is captured on video, logged to the cloud and cross-validated with the NVD or eNVD. Errors can be identified immediately.

LIVESTOCK TRANSPORT RECORDING SYSTEM - HOW LTRS WORKS
The Livestock Transport Recording System (LTRS) is an advanced camera technology installed at unloading and loading ramps primarily for commercial facilities i.e., sale yards, feedlots and abattoirs that records every aspect of the livestock delivery. The primary purpose of the LTRS was to ensure that the NVD or eNVD (waybills) matched livestock delivery, but LTRS has a multitude of other benefits that video surveillance offers.
Built around the Mobotix camera the LTRS captures three critical data points which can be used to cross-validate an eNVD, in real time using a cloud based platform .Those data points include:

A separate lens on the S74 is specifically for Animal Welfare and WH&S monitoring.
